Spider solitaire is a well known desktop solitaire from another operating system. This game comes in four variations: The easiest variation is SINGLE-SUIT SPIDER, one notch harder is two suit RED-BLACK SPIDER solitaire known as “Black Widow” (the black widow is a red-black colored spider).
Even more poisonous is the three suit variation “Tarantula” and the most poisonous spider of all the “Banana Spider” (Araña Armadeira) with its deadly bite.
Four suit spider almost never can be won, so better play the strategic master game REASON FOR DIVORCE instead. This game offers a realistic chance to win for good players as it is stock-waste-recycle based.
The twist on all spider games is that you can only drop a complete series of cards A..K in ONE GO, when completed, to the foundations. Also spider games build in suit descending and allow groups of same suit cards to be moved between cascades.
One exception is that Spider allows single cards to be played on any other suit in descending order (to move them out of the way), but this descending series cannot be moved around, because it is not in suit. This rule can be disabled by switching on “Mixed suit dragging” to make things a lot easier.
SPIDERETTE, BABY SPIDERETTE
Sipderette is a hard, single Deck variation of Spider with 4 colors that can rarely be won.
Baby Spiderette is a variation with 2 colors that comes out about 30% of the time when played with waste instead of deal.
Good Luck!
