This game is a pretty looking Klondikoid. Specifically it is an 11 stack double Klondike variation from a German classic solitaire booklet. In contrast to some really impossibly hard implementations (Gypsy, Easthaven) it solves rather frequently. But sometimes a single card can prevent success. That is when you will be surprised.
Like Klondike, the game plays red/black descending on cascades and in suit ascending on foundations. Nothing unusual at all.
Empty cascades may be claimed by Kings only. By touching the stock, cards are dealt one to each column, but not to columns that have been claimed by kings (this is unique to Surprise).
Good Luck!
